Although the regular Summer School has had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Luxembourg European Annual Theatre Summer School will be offering online courses over the entire summer school week, from Saturday 25th July to Sunday 2nd August.
Course offers will be finalised by the tutors for 5th June, the timetable and costs for participants will be ready by 15th June, and applications will be opened shortly thereafter. Ideas at present include direct address work/monologues, solo work, lip-synching ‘cabaret’, creating narratives based on groups of people, radio drama, writing and singing – yes, even singing!
The intention is to offer a mix of shorter and longer courses, based on 90-minute sessions with breaks in between. Some courses will take place only over a weekend (both Saturday and Sunday at the beginning and end of the week) as well as during the weekday evenings while day-time courses will be offered over the whole period. The timetable will ensure that there is no overlap (it will be possible to do all courses if someone wanted to) and that there is sufficient time between sessions in order to avoid screen burn-out.
Details will be publicised on our website (www.leatss.lu) as they become available, including technical aspects (we expect to use Zoom technology).
